SeedTLC Advanced Transactional Analysis Training Groups, Bangalore
SeedTLC training groups provide an in-depth experience for those seeking personal growth and at higher levels, those planning to pursue a career in psychotherapy.
The training is offered keeping in mind the different levels of learning, leading to corresponding levels of certifications, offered by Regional and International Organisations of Transacctional Analysis, the SAATA and the ITAA respectively.
Transactional Analysis has a basic philosophy of “I’m OK – You’re OK”, which forms the fulcrum of all the training offered. The training is process-orientated and is reflected in the course design. All the groups are designed to provide a safe and supportive atmosphere, which facilitate trainees to grow personally & professionally.
The course takes place over five to six years, with a specific number of days of training each year, depending on the level of the group. Participants sign up for each level, on a yearly basis.
The group will work together year after year, towards the various levels of certification. Completion of each level of certification would largely depend upon the unique readiness of each individual.
The different levels of Certifications offered by the South Asian Association of Transactional Analysts (SAATA) are:
- The Diploma in Transactional Analysis (not field specific): Typically completed in the course of the second year of training.
- The Advanced Diploma in Transactional Analysis (Psychotherapy): Typically completed in the course of the fourth or fifth year of training.
The Certified Transactional Analysis (CTA) examination (Psychotherapy): Finally, trainees prepare for the CTA certification, which is accredited by the International Association of Transactional Analysis (ITAA).
As per the relevance and requirments of each level of the course various aspects that are included are: theoretical inputs, focus towards deep contact with self, personal awareness, ongoing personal development, skills training and live practicums of working with self/clients, as well as live supervisions.
Participants are also encouraged to enhance the depth of learning & exposure by:
- Attending additional TA and non-TA workshops and conferences related to the course
- Seeking personal therapy outside the group, for the duration of the training
