Level 3 – Practitioner’s Transactional Analysis Training Group
Having completed two years of applying Transactional Analysis to self, those interested in the field of psychotherapy are eligible to join SeedTLC’s Transactional Analysis Practitioner’s Group.
Eligibility Criteria
- Completion of the 1st two years of ‘Application of Transactional Analysis to self’ Training from SeedTLC
- Completion of M.A. in Psychology (preferable) or willingness to complete a certification in Psychology
- Willingness to cope with deep-seated feelings and to develop the capacity to self-reflect and for self-awareness .
- Willingness to seek regular personal therapy for the duration of training
- Keen interest and willingness to commit to the time, effort, learning and practice of Psychotherapy
Focus & Objectives
- Objectives are in line with the curriculum based on building of the core competencies of psychotherapy, outlined in the ITAA handbook
- Deepening awareness of self, learning to be present to one’s feelings and that of others, thus heightened awareness of the dynamics emerging in relationships, as also the therapeutic relationship
- Participants learn theories and frameworks which relate to client diagnosis, intervention, therapeutic processes, through case examples
- Strengthen the depth of learning of advanced concepts of Transactional Analysis with focus on application to clients and client systems
- The course includes theoretical input, skills training, personal development and practicums of working with clients. Focus will also be on developing a high level of empathy for others, tolerance of different value systems.
- Focus will be on high level of self-reliance, learning from skill practice, the group experience and group process
The course format
The crux of the training is in provision of a supportive space through which trainees grow & learn autonomously to complete the Advanced Diploma in Transactional Analysis, offered by South Asian Association of Transactional Analysts (SAATA).
Periodicity:
The group will meet for 10 Friday-Saturdays (20 days), each year, at Bangalore
In the course of the year, participants will prepare for and complete their respective advanced diploma exams and will consistently bring their learning for supervision. Peer and group supervision encouraged. From the 4th year onwards, Supervision hours with TA trainers outside the group will also be encouraged.
